Bisquick Recipes; Honey Nut Oven Fried Chicken

Ingredients

1 whole chicken deep-fat fryer, cut into 10 parts (cut the breasts in half crosswise)
Seasoned salt to taste
Cayenne pepper (optional), to taste
2 1/2 buttermilk cups
2 Cups Original Bisquick ™ Mix
4 up to 5 cups Honey Nut Clusters® flakes, chopped up to 2 1/2 cups
2 whipped eggs
Food spray

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 ° F. Sprinkle chicken on both sides with seasoned salt and cayenne pepper. Place the chicken in a large, resealable plastic bag in a large bowl. Pour 2 cups of buttermilk onto the chicken. Bag for printing; refrigerate 1 hour or night.
  2. Line a 13x9-inch shallow baking sheet with foil. Place the cooling pad in the pan; generously spray cooling pad with non-stick sprinkler
  3. In an average shallow bowl, mix the eggs with the remaining buttermilk; whisk until smooth. Place the Bisquick mixture in a small shallow bowl. Place the cereal in another small, shallow bowl.
  4. Remove pieces of chicken from one of the buttermilk; dredge in a Bisquick mixture, then wash the eggs, then flakes, covering the chicken slices completely.
  5. Lay the chicken pieces with the bone sides down on the stand. Spray on top of chicken with cooking spray.
  6. Bake without a lid on the middle grill of the oven for about 50 minutes or until the juices become clear.
